Scoala Gimnaziala Nr. Giurgiu has been one of the elite institutions of Giurgiu education, with origins in the old Orthodox High School for Girls "Alexandrina Cantacuzino", founded around 1890.  Since then the spirit of performance and competition, along with other authentic values of the traditional Romanian school, such as respect, have been passed down from generation to generation among teachers and students. Currently, 520 students from 6 to 15 years old study in our school, guided by 30 teachers. Students and teachers work together to promote the school image locally, nationally and internationally, participating in numerous school and art competitions and implementing European projects.
